Welcome to the SADS Website
The Sacramento Art Deco Society is a non-profit organization, founded in
1991, dedicated to preserving all aspects of the Art Deco period. Our
aim is to raise awareness and appreciation of Art Deco. Our activities
center around the preservation, education, history, and entertainment of
this exciting era. SADS creates new and exciting events to keep the
awareness of Art Deco alive.
PRESERVATION
SADS is a member of the International Coalition of Art Deco Societies
(ICADS). We participate in projects supporting the preservation of
1920s-1940s buildings in Sacramento and the surrounding areas. SADS
presents an award each year to a deserving person or agency.
EDUCATION
Our monthly lecture series, a partnership between the Sacramento Art
Deco Society and the
Towe Auto Museum are now held

non-members. Lectures begins at 2:30 pm sharp.

EVENTS
Enjoying and recreating the ambience of the Art Deco life-style is what
makes SADS events! SADS fun events include: auctions, dance classes,
theater tours, holiday parties, vintage picnics, car tours, movie
nights, museum exhibits, walking tours, special events, and more!
OUR LOGO
Our logo was inspired by a detail on the Ransohoff building at
1029 K
Street. Using local Art Deco design for our logo underscores SADS local
preservation and education endeavors.
While you are here, please look over our Website for more information on
